May 17, 2002

May 17, 2002 -- there was this big roaring noise like a freight-train passing, and the roof of the well-house did a frizby for a measured 220-feet. Dang! That's the distance to the first landing, it bounced once a couple of feet further on, and then skidded a couple feet. (All this based on the gouges in the dirt.)

it landed on the gravel driveway, we moved it off to the side. The gap in the middle there is where the translucent fiberglas pannel was. It's probably half-way to Holbrook by now.

looking towards the well-house from the landing zone.

well house, without a roof. Got a plastic tarp over it in case it rains. The wind keeps trying to blow the tarp away. It's nailed and tied pretty good.
